Supporter Information

On behalf of our charity partners, we process supporter data including:

  • Name, phone number, and email address
  • Donation history and fundraising activity
  • Communication preferences and opt-out requests
  • Interaction data (message opens, replies, engagement metrics)
  • Motivation, sentiment, and feedback shared via SMS

Website Visitors

When you visit our website, we may collect:

  • IP address, browser type, and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Referring website and search terms
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

2. How We Use Information

  • Delivering SMS stewardship journeys on behalf of charity partners

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell supporter data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

With Charity Partners

Supporter interaction data, engagement metrics, and insights are shared with the charity partner on whose behalf we are communicating. This data belongs to the charity.

With Service Providers

We work with trusted service providers who assist in delivering our services:

  • SMS gateway providers (for message delivery)
  • Cloud hosting providers (for data storage and processing)
  • Analytics and AI/ML service providers (for insights and optimization)
  • Payment processors (for billing)

All service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and process data only as instructed.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Conversr, our partners, or the public.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect personal information:

  • Charity partner data: Retained for the duration of the partnership plus 7 years (for tax and legal compliance)
  • Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for research and improvement
  • Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely to honor opt-out preferences

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles and international data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)

Note for Supporters: If you are a supporter of one of our charity partners, your data is managed on behalf of that charity. Please contact the charity directly for data access, correction, or deletion requests.

7. International Data Transfers

While Conversr primarily operates in Australia and New Zealand, we may transfer data to service providers located overseas (e.g., cloud hosting in secure AWS or Azure regions). All international transfers comply with Australian Privacy Principles and are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
